Wedding Musicians Biographies

Kimberley Schemeit, Flute

Flutist Kimberley Schemeit began her musical studies on the piano at age four and added the flute several years later. She began her performance career at age eighteen when she performed the Chaminade Flute Concerto with the Scarborough Philharmonic. A graduate from the University of Toronto with a Masters in Flute Performance, she is currently Co-Artistic director of Alicier Arts Chamber Music and is an active freelance musician throughout southern Ontario. Kimberley studied with flutist Douglas Stewart in Toronto and with Cecilie Loken in Stockholm, Sweden. Kimberley has performed chamber and orchestral music with the Windsor Symphony, the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, the Niagara Symphony and I Furiosi Baroque Ensemble. A devoted music educator, Kimberley is currently the Instrumental Music Director at Kingsway College School.


Amanda Lee, Violin

Originally from Victoria BC, Amanda is a graduate of the University of Toronto where she holds a Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Violin Performance. She is an active freelancer and chamber musician and has played and held positions with numerous professional orchestras such as Victoria Symphony, Sinfonia Toronto, Windsor Symphony, Toronto Philharmonia, and Talisker Players. Amanda has also performed extensively for CBC radio and on television and is currently on Faculty at the Royal Conservatory of Music.


Monica Fedrigo, Cello

Born and raised in Victoria, B.C., cellist Monica Fedrigo completed a Bachelor of Music from the University of Victoria and a Master of Music from the University of Akron (Ohio). She performs throughout Toronto as a freelance cellist in chamber ensembles, orchestras and jazz ensembles. Monica has performed with professional orchestras including Niagara Symphony, Niagara-on-the-Lake Sinfonia and the Victoria Operatic Orchestra, and she is co-founder of the Zonnebloem Quartet. Her jazz ensembles Runcible Spoon and Mirobolus Trio have released CD’s, performed in Canadian Jazz Festivals and been featured on CBC radio. In addition to performing, Monica is a strings instructor at Fieldstone Day School and at her private Toronto studio.


Deanna McDougall, Violin:

A native of Toronto, Deanna is a graduate from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance. Deanna is an active freelance musician and has played with such orchestras as the Victoria Symphony Orchestra, the Vancouver Opera Orchestra, the Niagara Symphony, the Niagara-on-the-Lake Sinfonia, and the Arcady Baroque Ensemble. Deanna moved to Ottawa in 2004 with her family and is currently teaching private violin and viola lessons from her home studio.


Allison Marcaccini, Soprano

Soprano Allison Marcaccini studied voice at the University of Victoria. There she performed frequently in the chorus of Pacific Opera Victoria and went on to sing a number of roles with them. On her return to Ontario she began working with Drayton Theatre, performing everything from Gilbert & Sullivan to British farce to Broadway musicals. Allison is now enjoying her teaching at Bishop Strachan School and the Etobicoke Conservatory of Music.
